The 'Love Yourself' Challenge!

The love month is creeping up on us and this got me thinking...

How often do you receive compliments but always respond with some form of negativity about yourself? Eg.

COMPLIMENT 'Gee you're looking great lately'

RESPONSE 'No, I need to get rid of my cellulite'

COMPLIMENT 'You're work has been fantastic'

RESPONSE 'It would have been better if I had done this, this & this differently'

And I'm not just talking about your response to others, what about the way you speak to YOURSELF? I believe that this is truly what counts.

At the end of the day after work, kids, housework, etc. what do you think to yourself when you finally get to sit down and take it all in?

Is you brain going through all the things that need to get done tomorrow and are you kicking yourself for not finishing certain chores today?

Or are you being hard on yourself for not making it to that fitness session you wanted to do today?

How about you give yourself a break and FOCUS ON THE FANTASTIC EFFORT YOU PUT IN TODAY?

You're alive, the kids are on track!

Take those compliments on board - you deserve them or you wouldn't be getting them!

I'm starting a 'Love Yourself' Challenge. Give yourself at least ONE reason why you should love yourself EVERY SINGLE DAY throughout February.

I think it's fantastic that people strive to improve themselves and become the best that they can be, but can't we love ourselves throughout the whole process?
